12/19/18 Site Updates

Hello TerraCachers!

Today we released several site updates, we hope you enjoy them!

Update Homepage Slider

We have updated the old 'Featured Caches' map with a new slider that will be used to quickly link members to help articles and the latest articles that are related to TerraCaching. Our hope is that this will reduce confusion with the 'Cache Hunt' Features and allow new and current members to find new features and stories quickly.

Basic Cache Hunt Updates

We have updated the Basic Cache Hunt features to include a few more options. We believe this will simplify the hunt for our newest members. Check out the Enhanced Features for even more search options!

'Found' Cache Icon

New for all members, the 'Found' Cache Icon has been updated. It now has a check mark on any cache that you have found. In grid/list view it will display a banner. This will allow members to quickly view which caches they have not found yet. We are really excited about this, check it out and let us know what you think!

Speed Updates

We have updated the Caching Stats (TerraCentral>Caching Stats), The Cacher's Action Feed (Play Homepage) and The Community Showcase (Play Homepage) to have faster loading times. You should notice significant improvement. As we continue to do updates, we strive to make the site work more quickly and efficiently.

Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

We have updated our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy to be current with 2018 standards. Please read the banner and associated documents and select 'OK' when ready to remove the banner from your browser.

Correct CC79R to LC79R

We corrected a cache that had been mistakenly identified as cyber. It is now a locationless- if you have a walking stick, definitely check it out. :)

Leaderboard List View

We corrected an issue where the leaderboard list view was no longer accessible. By selecting the 'List' Icon, you can now view list results again.

Wow! Thank you Christa and team TC! All good, and especially impressed with the improved increase of speed of the action feed and community showcase, noticed this improvement just this morning.

First impressions count, and this should definitely help reduce new people possibly turning away from the site on a first look Well done!
