Final TTPS, LTPS, and CTPS of Archived Caches
The final TPS values for archived caches of all types is based on the MCE- the Measure of Cache Excellence, which is determined by finders of the cache. The final TPS points for all types of caches will be calculated as follows:
- Caches with MCE greater than or equal to 5 will maintain 100% of the calculated TPS points.
- Caches with MCE between 4 and 5 will maintain 75% of the calculated TPS.
- Caches with MCE lower than 4 will maintain 50% of the calculated TPS points.
Event caches will be handled slightly differently. Since Event caches are intended to be archived after the event ends, so they don’t have time to accumulate TPS points. Therefore, the final TPS on Event caches will be calculated as follows:
- For Event caches with MCE greater than or equal to 7, the final TPS will equal 50 + (10*number of finders).
- For Event caches with MCE less than 7, the final TPS will equal (10*number of finders).
Once the final TPS value has been calculated it will be locked to further changes, unless it is un-archived.

We discussed that, but decided that for now that they will not be able to log them. The TPS points are designed to ensure that members can collect points for both hidden and found caches. Since the TPS points for a cache are given to both the owner and the finder, it would essentially be like counting the TPS twice for that cache owner if they were also able to log it.

Will the TPS for event caches be capped? Something like max of 200 for MCE under 7 and 250 over 7, like other Traditional caches? In other words, if someone magically gets 100 people to show up for an event (I know, dream on) does that cache get 1000-1050 points or 200-250?

Aside from that one question, I want to say I'm glad this is finally being implemented. It will make a lot of members happy!
