Cache Log Form

Hi Fellow TerraCachers!

We’ve seen some awesome teamwork with teams joining forces to hide new caches for the community. Usually, the primary owner creates the listing, and the co-hider logs the very first "Found It."

This has sparked some curiosity in the field! Often, the next finder isn't sure if they should claim the First to Find (FF) since a log is already there. Plus, there's the TPS (Total Points Score) to consider—it calculates in the background but doesn't start showing actual points until that first find is logged. Many Teams like to see the TPS accumulating.

We're just looking to get everyone thinking and would love to hear your input!  What’s the best way to keep our TerraCaching community fun and fair for everyone?

    Morning to all from Florida

IMHO, a "group hide" is just that and there a NO! first finder(s) there.

Take care, be safe and enjoy the game 😁

Thank you Z_Statman for sharing. I can see your point Z, yet if they were all present on the hide, then they technically did not find it.  They participated in the hiding.

When a person or team walks up to a newly hidden cache, that has never been found, they use many techniques to place themselves in the mind of the hider, one will spot the cache, they are the true first.  Even on virtual a team has to decide who was the first, sometimes by who logged it first.

We are hoping to come up with something that will give credit to people that will also take responsibility for helping maintaining the cache.  This will build stronger threads in the community and encourage hiding new caches as a team.
