Cache Health Check
Has any consideration been given to creating a new log entry called "Cache Health OK" and awarding some points for it?
I recently re-attempted TCAQ, Dead Man Walking (ironic I'm using this cache for a health check!) and could not find the multi-steps nor the final cache (using memory). I contacted asatruar who changed the coordinates to use his GC coordinates of the same name. I found that one.
I thought if points would be credited for checking up on caches that have not been found for an extended period would help to keep the caches viable.

Nice idea and so appropriate in areas where TC needs some motivation, like here
There are but a few active TC'rs here in FL but still holding on, got a new one the other day now to just get him up and running.
Most of what I have been doing is maintenance checks and then if the area is open enough, adding new placements - Checked on 3 last weekend where I was the last finder 10 years ago (how time flies).
TCC7D - Gators Are Dangerous No Matter How Drunk You - Gone, area clearly has been "people used," so placed a new one nearby
TCC6D - Crossing Jordan - Even I couldn't get to it with so much overgrowth so really unknown. Let the CO know
TCC6Z - Wrong Way Cache - This one is in really bad shape, rusted out and clearly water destroyed so put it together the best I could, added a preform with new lag and the CC then notified the CO
Also placed an new multi in the Sanctuary
TC9PWX - Jordan Scrub Sanctuary Multi
So your idea could be an incentive to others
Take care and be safe

I really like this idea...
You know we do have a few members that tirelessly go out and check caches and do repairs when required. This normally results in caches returning to an active status. They show up in the Community Showcase and often get more activity. I love this idea and am thinking of how we might reward these RepairTerraCachers.
Often they contact us if the CO is temporarily unavailable. If we know these RepairTerraCachers we often will update the cache description often with new pictures and sometimes with new coordinates or cache descriptions.
I always try to take along a replacement cache. Now how do we cumulate points? How do give awards for these great community contributors? You two have me thinking...

When we come across a cache that is missing, or otherwise unfindable, I let Dexter know first.
Because odds on it's one of his 😄.
Seriously, tether your cache container and take advantage of the option to use confirmation codes instead of a paper log. Cuts down on maintenance. 👍
Caches that are in place and findable make for a better TC experience for a new player, and that means they'll be more likely to stick around and contribute 😁.
