Hey Everyone!

We have a new, major release coming up! We’ve had lots of discussions on the best way to improve the member experience and decided to move forward this year with navigation updates. Our goal is to simplify the site, create unity between the sections of the site, create opportunities for learning, and create shortcuts for new and existing members.  

The upper level navigation of the site will list the main sections of the site: The Written Log, Play, Community, Learn, and Store. Here is a little bit of information about each section:

The Written Log

After much reflection, we have combined the blog with the online magazine. This section of the site will be the first section that greets visitors. Here, we will continue to share our adventures, outdoor information, and things of interest to the community. 

Play

Playing the game will become much easier with the updated navigation. Each of the major sections of the site will receive a new tab, with each section of TerraCentral listed with a dropdown that takes you directly to the section you are seeking. These shortcuts should make things much faster for everyone!

Community

The Community will be open to visitors so that potential members can get a better idea of what we are all about. To comment or interact with a post, you will need to login. For seamless browsing, when logging in members will remain on the page that they are viewing.

Learn

The Resources section of the Community will become the ‘Help Center’ and can be quickly accessed by selecting ‘Learn’ in the upper toolbar. We will be adding new resources and revamping the existing resources to aid new and existing members in learning about the site and our community.

Store

The store will continue opening to a new tab. We will be releasing a new ‘Peak Membership’ button that currently links to Site Contributions. This membership will be updated this Fall, so keep your eyes peeled! All Site Contributions help us to make changes to the site and allow members to receive the Cache Hunt Enhanced Features as well.

Additionally, we have improved the single sign on features with this update. Your profile, private messages, and notifications will now be readily accessible in The Written Log, Play, and Community sections of the site. Please remember to clear your cookies in your browser if you have any issues when viewing the site after the changes are released.

We are really excited about these updates and can’t wait to share them with all of you!
